As an accredited supplier, we are changing the way you can receive simple aids to daily living, by transforming community equipment services in line with Greenwich Council. We supply a range of disability/aid equipment that can help provide a safer and more independent life for people who feel limited, whether it be in the kitchen, bedroom, bathroom or even getting out of a chair. If you feel you need some assistance or additional aids around your home or general life, please contact an occupational therapist for an assessment, and an order will be made on your behalf, based on assessment and we, at Temple Pharmacy, will deliver to equipment straight to you once recieved.

A BMI checking machine is available at our 33 Lakedale branch for a small charge.

Delivery Service

If you have an unwanted/unused medication at your home that needs to be disposed of, we will be happy to take them off you and dispose of them safely.

We offer Levonelle, which is the most common version of the morning after pill. This can be obtained within the pharmacy after a short questionnaire is filled out, which helps the pharmacist determine if this is the most appropriate treatment for you. The pharmacist will give you instructions of use and offer further advice if you so require. This service isn't normally free.

Most pharmacies, if not all, should be able to provide you with advice, leaflets, help and possibly treatment on minor illnesses/ injuries, allergies etc. saving you having to go to your GP. This would include - Hay fever and allergies; Coughs and colds; Skin conditions (e.g mild acne and mild eczema); Constipation and haemorrhoids; Muscle and general aches and pains, (e.g headaches, backache) Indigestion; Diarrhoea; Thrush; Period pain; Warts; Head lice; Verrucas; Mouth ulcers and cold sores; Athlete's foot; Nappy rash and teething. Advice and support is free, however a charge will be applicable for purchasing treatments that are counter goods only. We are not able to prescribe any medication, but anything treatments/ medication that can be given without a prescription will be offered. If we are unable to help you, we will guide you towards a person/place that will be able too.

Lipotrim is the only dieting regime certified by N.H.S and specialist doctors. This path to weight loss normally follows after a consultation with your pharmacist on what you would like to achieve in regards to your weight and general health. It involves a weight loss and a weight management programme which is made up of drinks, chicken soup and flapjacks. Please enquire in store for more information.

Everyone is encouraged to have a flu jab annually, especially those likely to develop complications from flu, such as pneumonia. The vaccination is offered free of charge if you fall into certain risk categories, , otherwise there is a £10 which is applicable. The risk categories which make you eligible for a free flu jab are if you: Are 65 years of age or over; Are pregnant; Have certain medical conditions; Are living in a residential care home or similar long stay facility; Are the main carer for an elderly or disabled person who may be at risk if you fall ill Are a healthcare worker or social care worker who is in with direct contact with patients.

The NMS is a free scheme offered by pharmacies for patients who have been newly prescribed medication to treat Asthma; Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease; Type 2 Diabetes; High blood pressure or to thin the blood. The service allows patients to discuss any issues, concerns or even just general advice on the new medication they are taking. Your GP will either leave a note with the Pharmacist to talk to about these medications, or the pharmacist may approach you once the new medicine is added to you patient profile. However, if you have any concerns at any point, please feel free to ask the Pharmacist for any help/advice.

We provide a free prescription collection for our patient from the following surgeries: Plumstead Health Centre Conway Medical Centre Waverley Practice Bannockburn Surgery Welling Surgery (Wickham Lane) Burrage Road Surgeries Glyndon Medical Centre The Slade Surgery St. Marks' Medical Centre Nightingale Surgery Royal Arsenal Surgery Ferryview Health Centre If you are a new patient to the pharmacy, you will be asked to sign a Nomination letter, which confirms the pharmacy and allows the surgeries to know which pharmacy you would like your future prescriptions to go to.

We offer a free prescription delivery service in all of Plumstead, Woolwich and Abbey Wood, as well as parts of Erith, Belverdere, Thamesmead; Charlton; Eltham and Welling. Please enquire within the pharmacy to find out more.

We offer a private consultation room at our pharmacy where you can discuss private or personal issues.

This allows you, as the patients, to collect you repeat prescription from your pharmacy directly over an agreed period of time. This isn't a continuous service as patients may be required to go for check ups with the GP every few months, before a new prescription is issued. Patients will have to inform their GP and give permission to share their information with your local/nominated pharmacy. Once agreed, when you need a prescription you can get your medicines directly from your pharmacist without having to visit your GP first.

On occasions your pharmacist may feel you will require additional healthcare professionals, such as social services or carers, and will provide you with the information and contact details so you can obtain the right help.
